Our team brings together two unique bodies of expertise — branded retail apparel and natural healthcare — to deliver eco-sustainable fashion together with the time-tested benefits of natural medicine in an up-to-date retail format. Patti Cazzato
Patti Cazzato leads the Clary Sage management team. She is an inspirational leader with a strong results orientation and proven success in start ups. She has 25 years of retail and wholesale apparel experience in both domestic and international markets leading high-profile branded businesses. Formerly she held the position of General Manager and Senior Vice President in charge of Gap’s international division, a $1.7 billion retail apparel business. Her most recent position was as Senior Vice President for Levi Strauss & Co.
Her career has including working directly with many prominent eco-visionaries including Doug Tompkins, the founder of Esprit and an early leader of the environmental movement; George Lucas, the filmmaker; Bob Haas, the Chairman of the Board of Levi Strauss; and many years of tutelage with the legendary Mickey Drexler, broadly acknowledged as one of the master apparel retailers of our times.
Ms. Cazzato is known throughout the industry for her ability to lead and motivate teams and was profiled in the book Why Should Anyone Be Led by You? by Rob Goffee and Gareth Jones and published by Harvard University Press. In the publication, the authors highlight authentic leaders who know who they are, where the organization needs to go, and how to convince followers to help them take it there. Her management style has allowed her to establish a loyal following and enabled her to easily attract top-notch talent to Clary Sage. Over the years, Ms. Cazzato has managed teams up to 250 people including 13 Vice-Presidents and Sr. Directors.
Dr. Daniel Kalish
Daniel Kalish D.C. leads our Wellness Team. He has trained hundreds of physicians in the use of natural medicine and his programs are in use by clinics world-wide. Dr. Kalish founded the Natural Path Integrative Health Clinic in Del Mar, California, and now conducts an active phone consultation practice with patients around the world. For the past 15 years, his healing programs have helped a broad population — from world-class athletes to new moms — find relief from a variety of health complaints.
Dr. Kalish received his B.A. in physiological psychology from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio and his chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West. He studied at the University of London and conducted research with biochemist Robin Monroe at Cambridge University.
Dr. Kalish is author of Your Guide to Healthy Hormones and through his training organization, Kalish Research, has taught at community and naturopathic colleges, massage and yoga schools, and has led countless seminars for physicians. He also conducts nutrition courses for the CHEK Institute’s personal trainers.
Joann Lime
Joann Lime is responsible for personnel, stores and the operations team. She has over 20 years of retail and wholesale experience in domestic and international markets and is an expert at leading operational and administrative functions to achieve maximum effectiveness. She has a thorough understanding of organizations and how they interact to achieve business goals and is able to quickly translate and implement complex concepts and solutions to everyday applications.
Ms. Lime has successfully led multiple, large-scale change efforts impacting 10,000+ employees. Ms. Lime also has a strong human resources background and has experience with start-up organizations as well as building existing organizations.
